Someone always watching, even when you're not there
An alarm that only sounds on site isn't much help at 3am on a Sunday. Monitoring means every fire alarm activation, intruder alarm or fault is sent straight to a 24/7 alarm receiving centre (ARC), where trained operators act on it, contacting your keyholders and, for fire alarms, the fire service where appropriate.
We fit and configure the signalling equipment that connects your system to the monitoring centre. Dual-path signalling uses two routes, typically a SIM and broadband, so the signal still gets through if one fails, and the line itself is monitored so you're told if it ever drops.
Prefer to keep an eye on things yourself? We can also set up app-based alerts and remote viewing, so you get notifications and can check your cameras or set your alarm from your phone.
Monitoring we set up and maintain
Fire alarm monitoring
Fire and fault signals sent to a 24/7 monitoring centre so activations are acted on, day or night.
Intruder alarm monitoring
Alarm, tamper and set/unset events monitored, with keyholders contacted when the alarm activates.
CCTV monitoring
Remote viewing on your phone, with motion alerts and options for remotely monitored CCTV.
Dual-path signalling
Two signalling routes so the alarm still reaches the monitoring centre if one fails.
App alerts & control
Notifications, remote set and unset, and live camera viewing on your phone.
Keyholder arrangements
Keyholder lists set up and kept up to date so the right people are called.
Works with your existing system
Monitoring can usually be added to an existing fire alarm, intruder alarm or CCTV system by fitting a signalling device. We'll check your system and let you know what's needed. Ask about monitoring alongside your servicing contract so everything is looked after by one team.

Common questions
What is alarm monitoring?
Alarm monitoring connects your fire alarm or intruder alarm to a 24/7 alarm receiving centre. When the system activates or develops a fault, a signal is sent to the centre and trained operators follow an agreed plan, such as contacting your keyholders.
Can monitoring be added to my existing alarm?
In most cases, yes. We fit a signalling device to your existing fire alarm or intruder alarm panel and connect it to the monitoring centre. We'll check your system first to confirm what's needed.
What happens if the phone line or internet goes down?
Dual-path signalling uses two separate routes, typically a SIM card and broadband, so the signal still gets through if one fails. The connection is also checked regularly, so a fault on the line is reported.
Can I monitor my CCTV and alarm myself?
Yes. We can set up app-based alerts and remote viewing so you're notified of activations and can check cameras or set and unset your alarm from your phone.
Do you provide monitoring outside Blackburn?
Yes. We set up and maintain monitoring across Blackburn, Lancashire and the North West, and nationwide for multi-site clients.
