When an upgrade makes sense
Fire and security systems don't last forever. Fire alarm panels go obsolete and spares dry up, old analogue cameras give grainy footage that's no use when you need it, and intruder alarms get left behind by app control and remote monitoring. Buildings change around the systems too, as rooms are split, extended or put to a different use.
An upgrade doesn't always mean starting again. Where the existing cabling is sound we can often reuse it, swapping out the panel, recorder, cameras or detection for current equipment and saving you the cost and disruption of a full rewire.
We'll survey what you have, tell you honestly what can stay and what needs replacing, and give you one clear quote covering both fire and security.

Common questions
How do I know if my fire alarm panel needs replacing?
Common signs are a panel the manufacturer no longer supports, spare parts that are hard to get, faults that keep returning and frequent false alarms. We'll inspect it and give you an honest view of whether it needs replacing or can be repaired.
Can you upgrade my old CCTV without replacing everything?
Often, yes. Depending on the existing cabling, we can fit HD cameras and a new recorder over the same cables, or move you to IP cameras. Either way you get clearer footage and remote viewing on your phone.
Can my intruder alarm be upgraded to app control?
In many cases, yes. We can replace the control panel or add a communicator so you can set, unset and get alerts from your phone, and upgrade detectors where needed.
Is the building protected while the upgrade happens?
We plan upgrades so the building isn't left without cover, for example by working zone by zone or keeping the old system live until the new one is commissioned. We'll agree the approach with you beforehand.
Can you take over systems installed by another company?
Yes. We regularly take over the servicing and maintenance of existing fire and security systems. We'll inspect them first and let you know if anything needs attention.
